Not a text-to-video model
Reelsmith edits footage you supply. It does not synthesise video from a written prompt.
Postika is an AI content workspace. Reelsmith, its featured video product, helps people find strong moments in existing footage, create tighter edits, reframe speakers for vertical video, add captions and export short-form MP4 videos.
This page exists to answer questions about Postika directly and without marketing hedging — including the things the product does not do. If you are evaluating whether it fits your work, the “What Postika is not” section below will rule it out faster than anything else here.
Reelsmith accepts existing video footage. It analyses the speech in a recording and proposes self-contained moments from it. Automatic editing can trim selected silence, remove selected filler words, normalise audio, add hook cards, insert supporting B-roll and reframe a speaker for a vertical frame. The caption workflow transcribes spoken audio, allows the transcript to be corrected, and renders styled captions into the exported video.
Every automatic decision is presented for review. Users can adjust cuts, transcript, captions and framing before downloading an MP4 — nothing is final until export.
This category uses overlapping vocabulary for very different products, so these distinctions matter.

It does not create synthetic presenters. AI Autopilot Actors remain in development and unavailable.
There is no scheduler and no direct posting to social platforms.
Output stays in the language of the source recording.
No tool can promise a clip will perform. Selection and cleanup are accelerated; the outcome is not.
Selects meaningful time ranges from a longer video based on content. It differs from a fixed-duration splitter because selection responds to what is being said rather than to arbitrary intervals.
Applies repeatable editing decisions — trimming silence, removing selected filler words, normalising audio, adding captions — without requiring every timeline operation to be performed by hand.
Converts wider footage to a vertical composition while keeping the relevant speaker visible, rather than cropping to the centre of the original frame.
Deriving new short-form pieces from footage that already exists, as opposed to producing new material for each post.
Reelsmith is designed for podcasts, interviews, webinars, tutorials, talking-head recordings, conference talks and other speech-led footage. Because selection is driven by the transcript, results depend on source quality, intelligible speech, and whether the recording actually contains complete moments worth extracting. Footage without clear speech — music, gameplay, ambient or purely visual material — gains much less from it.

Reelsmith is Postika’s AI-assisted short-form video editor. It creates clips, tightens raw takes, reframes footage and adds styled captions.

No. AI Autopilot Actors are in development and are marked coming soon inside the Postika portal.
